Redecorating on a Budget
Welcome to Thrift Shop Thursday #17. It is so surprising that we are already on week #17. For those of you new to the blog, this is where I share all of my Thrift Shop Finds from places such as yard sales, consignment shops, road side rescues, and my all time favorite, Goodwill.
I have been busy revamping all my accessories to go with my revamped sunroom. I am so excited that we finally finished it today! I will share more on that later this week.
Today I am sharing my lamp revamp.
It has been so hard for me to get back into the swing of things with the start of school. My oldest headed back to college which was hard for me. Having my youngest running after his car as he drove away didn’t help matters either according to my oldest! My middle guy is at our local college which is great for all of us and the Gman started Middle School.
So it is not surprising that I would rather be here…
Having everyone home over the summer and traveling a lot has left me with very little time to go Thrift Shopping. (I am getting sooo sad that this summer break is coming to a close.) Since we have been so busy enjoying summer, this week I am posting some older finds and one new to me find. I have been looking through our home searching for my older thrifty finds. It continues to amaze me, as to how many thrift shop finds I have scattered throughout my home and my Island Home. I love the look of mixing old with new.
Alright, enough talk, let’s get Thrift Shop Thursday #16 started!
I recently completed my home office which you can see here. I have been using the office for a few months now and I really love this space. I find myself adding small little touches here and there, and most recently I added a new/old piece for a spot behind my desk. I think the revamped wash stand fits into my office perfectly.
We got home last night from a fabulous vacation. I enjoyed it so much that I have decided to do a post on it later this week. It is not something I would typically blog about but this place was amazing and I want to share it with you. I really was not ready to leave but here I am today… sharing Thrift Shop Thursday #15.
It’s that time again…Thrift Shop Thursday #14. I am sharing some more of my Island Home thrifted finds. This house was so much fun to decorate with all my finds. It gives it a look that appears to have evolved over time when in reality, I pulled most of the house together in about two months.

I shared with you on Thrift Shop Thursday #12 my teak ladder. I wanted to show you some shots of the teak ladder before I cleaned it, sanded and finished it with teak oil.
It has been over two weeks since I last shared a Thrift Shop Thursday. Two weeks ago we were celebrating the Gman’s promotion. It’s on to Middle School for him. He got up in front of over 500 people and read his essay during the ceremony. Needless to say, I cried!
Then last week we went to Florida to see the rest of the family. It was the best little getaway!
As you can tell, I am enjoying this long awaited summer break.
