It is time for another Thrift Shop Thursday. Today is #6 in the series. The items I am sharing today come from three different places, Goodwill, a yard sale and a Flea Market in Virginia. So let’s get started!
First up is my lovely brass deer. I told you I was crushing on the gold again!
I picked him up at the newly opened Goodwill right near my house. Yesterday was the Grand Opening. I have waited months for this place to open and could not wait to go. It was an absolute madhouse. People were just tossing things in their carts. I like a great deal just as much as the next person but I couldn’t handle the chaos. So I walked out with only my lovely golden deer…
but he was worth dealing with the crazy!
Thrift Shop Thursday #6
Next thrift shop find is the old frames we picked up last summer at a yard sale. They have been sitting in the garage since we bought them. Once we painted the family room gray, I thought they would look great as is leaning on the mantle. I really don’t think I am going to add anything to them. I like their chippy white paint. The large mirror behind the frames was a great find from HomeGoods.
( I want you to notice the floral arrangement on the hearth…I will share something with you later in the post!)
My last Thrift Shop Thursday find is an oldie but one of my favorites.
I bought two of these lamps several years ago at a Flea Market in Virginia for only $15. They were in rough shape when I picked them up but I just had to have them. I had to repaint the base and do some work on the shade because it was coming loose from the wire. Anyway, I wish I had a better photo to share with you but this is what I am working around…
Remember the floral arrangement I mentioned earlier…well it usually sits on the pedestal table that is currently under the plastic. My lamps I shared are usually on the console table up against the wall beneath the stairs. We are in the middle of having the foyer and a few other rooms painted. Once everything is back in it’s original place I will post an updated photo.
Until next time,
