I am so ready for cooler weather to arrive. I just completed a small cafe table for my porch but it is just to hot to enjoy it.
I have been looking for a small table for the front/side porch but didn’t want to spend alot of money on it. We have such a great spot but we really haven’t used it since we finished off our back screened in porch which was a long time ago. The front porch just turned into wasted space. So I want to change that starting with this cafe table.
This little table didn’t look like this when I picked it up the the local antique/consignment. The chairs didn’t beong with the table but the are the perfect size and very heavy.
This is how they looked!
Not the prettiest thing with school bus yellow and hunter green paint but colorful. I just love spray paint. It is the quickest and easiest way to transform any piece! I chose to spray them black because I thought it would pick up on the black shutters on the house.
I also made a pillow out of an old drop cloth. I then added our house number using transfers. I am not the best at sewing actually I never sew but this was not too bad. I just cannot sew a straight line!
This little corner of the porch is done now I can’t wait to use it!
The other thing I found the day I bought the cafe table and chairs was the little vintage stool. My middle son (BK) nor the guy running the shop could understand why I loved this vintage little stool so much but I do. I even got a discount on it! At first I was going to spray it but for now I like that it is rusty and chippy.
I think it is too cute!
