Junkin

August 6, 2014 By stylishrevamp 1 Comment

My husband just bought a 1996 f150 and I love it! It is the perfect truck for junkin.  I even got my husband to go with me on several trips.

I found these boat cleats on our first outting.

Boat Cleats Used For Decorative Hooks

I know they will clean up nicely but I think I am going to leave them alone.  I like the patina on them and they will only be used to hang up beach towels at the Island Home.  For $1 they are perfect!

I also found this teak furniture set.

Outdoor Teak Patio Set

They are stained a greyish/green color.  I like them and I am not ready to sand and oil them just yet (too much work) . I just plopped them in front of the fireplace. Once I add a throw, pillows and potted plants it will be a great spot.

This was my next find…

Vintage Wash Stand

It’s a primitive wash stand.  It has some stains on it but I will sand it down and paint it.  I am going to use it as a night stand in the spare bedroom.

I also picked up this metal quilt stand.

Quilt Rack

It ‘s kind of hard to see in the photo but it is painted brown. I have already sprayed it white.  Someone wants to use it as a towel rack in the bathroom.  Although, I  am thinking  it would look better out by the pool holding beach towels.

This was my last find of the day…

Vintage Cocktail Set

I like to use different little glasses for after dinner drinks.  I thought these were different.  I can’t quite tell what they are made from but I thought they would be fun to use.

My husband came home with these barrels.

Vintage Nail Barrels

They belonged to his father at one time and his brother just gave them to him.  He thinks they used to hold nails. I need to sand them down a bit because they are a bit rough.  I am trying to decide what I am going to do with them..too many ideas.

What a payload! That truck is going to pay for itself! I like the patio set.
